Subaru key stuck in ignition recall.

I did google the problem previously and found a temporary fix. If it happens, you click the button on the shifter about 4 times if I recall correctly. The key is then released.

My key won't turn fully when trying to turn off engine on 2016 impreza. Had to play with gear and turn steering wheel around to finally switch off. Called subaru and apparently there is an extended warranty for that same issue. Not a recall and that's why subaru owners won't notified.
